Land/ Sea/ Sky- Exhibition at the Fronteer Gallery

I had one of my pieces entitled Erosion up at the Fronteer Gallery in Sheffield!
Erosion is all about mark-making and patterns..both intentionally and subconsciously. When I am having a bad time or have a lot to think through, I often seek high ground. Perhaps like fleeing bugs from a flood..it I guess I am looking for a sense of perspective and somehow getting physically to a place with perspective helps with that. When I lived in Edinburgh, surrounded by high tenement buildings..I would always go to Calton Hill or the foothills of Arthur's seat by myself to just get out of the mire.
Erosion is about those perspectives; the patterns beneath your feet that match your patterns of thinking.
I'm really happy that it is currently up at the Fronteer gallery in Sheffield and if it doesn't sell, I certainly welcome it back to my flat to remind me to not go over thoughts in my head but to get the fuck to some high ground and hopefully get unstuck.
