On the Cusp of Winter
Share
Father Frost, Jack Frost, Jökul, Frosti and Cailleach will soon be upon us, gathering their fire wood and their powers to wreak havoc on frozen earth. The temperature has reduced and we are starting the slope down into a quieter season, not that nature is slowing down of course. You might notice you're seeing many more squirrels, more foxes, even voles, mice and badgers out and about, you might wonder why. Maybe it's coincidence, but most are preparing for the longer, less food abundant months where their supplies must last them through.
Inspired by the frost to come, its striations and lines ready to cover plants in its thick semi-transparent cloak, I've made two more prints. These are both printed on cards made from recycled paper and are completely handmade. If you'd like to welcome a bit of winter into your home or to gift to another, they're on my online shop.
