Who's Ready for the Christmas Market at the People's History Museum?!
Share
We're back at the People's History Museum this year starting with the wonderful Winter Warmer Event (https://phm.org.uk/events_new/winter-warmer/) on Thursday the 19th. It's whole evening in the museum, populated by local artists and makers selling their wares, live music from the jazz band Quinta and some mini craft workshops. Then, following that, we're selling from Friday through to the Sunday.
Last market at the People's History Museum was the first one I've done and it was such a lovely place to be in. I found it quite overwhelming but I'm still looking forward to doing it again. It's really hard to put yourself out there and I'll also admit it was absolutely exhausting. That said, it's a really joy to share the work you do and whilst it certainly might not be for everyone, even when you're worried no one is going to buy anything, just little comments of enjoyment from people is really lovely.
This time, I've learnt a lot and changed the art that I have on sale. I've got more on stock and I've learnt more tips on how to dress a stall. Most items are now packaged in compostable plastic dust sleeves, I now have earrings, larger pieces of felt and mulch art and key rings.
Come and check out what we have in store 20th- 23rd of November with a special preview on the evening of the 19th. All the makers selling are brilliant, so have a look at the People's History Museum's website for the full line up.
